This flat vase features pronges all around it, made from a single heavy gauge copper sheet and raised with the hammer, featuring a small neck and fat body. Hammering the copper is an ancient technique the coppersmiths use, where no sophisticated tools are used, just the furnace to heat the copper and a hammer. Made by artist and sculptor from Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico. You will be delighted with the details the sculptor put on it. This is a unique collectors piece! At the bottom of this vase is the artist signature. The reddish/oxidated texture is characteristic of natural copper when it is cooled down from red-hot temperature using cold water, technique that the coppersmiths use. No further copper polishing or maintenance required. Use a wet cotton cloth to clean it. This vase was made from one sheet of copper, raised with the artist hammer, there are no one welded joints. Hammering the red-hot copper is an ancient technique the coppersmiths use, where no sophisticated tools are used, just the furnace to heat the copper and a hammer to give it the shape. A unique gift for your loved ones or for yourself. Suitable for your coffe table or near your fireplace. A unique addition to your collection.
