Please read these terms and conditions carefully. These terms and conditions are subject to change from time to time without notice. These changes will be incorporated to this website whenever they happen. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not access this website.

Privacy policy

You can always review our privacy policy to get a better understanding about our practices handling the personal information you provide us as a result of placing orders in our virtual store.

Our website uses cookies to maintain a user id that allows us to know about your session. The cookie is an alphanumeric string which uniquely identify your user id in our system; the cookie itself, which is saved in your computer, does not contain any personal information. If you feel not comfortable with this setting, you may configure your browser to refuse cookies. However, doing so will limit our ability to offer you better deals, based on past shopping experiences and all the dynamic functionality will be lost (i.e. no shopping cart, no catalog browsing).

Our Returns Policy

Within 90 days of delivery of a shipment, you may return any of the items you purchased from our website for a refund. There will be a 10% restocking fee in most of the returned products. If you simply did not liked it, or for any other reason, you can return it.

We will not refund shipping and handling costs in regular orders. If you got any product you did not order and by mistake we sent you, we will refund you even the shipping and handling costs.

You are also responsible for the shipping cost incurred in sending the product(s) back to us. You do not have to use the same shipping method to return the items to us, specially if it was an express one. The credit will be issued to the same account used to make the purchase and it will be honored once we get the products back and they are in good condition (not damaged when in transit to your place or back from it).

Unclaimed Packages Policy

If we get unclaimed packages back from you, we will not be responsible for the shipping charges incurred but you. So you have to pay again for the package to be resent. You will get an e-mail notification on when your package(s) get out and an estimated delivery time, so you are aware of the delivery. You need to make arrangements to be at home if the carrier can′t just leave the package at the front door or if your house is innaccesible.

We will cover this expense when a mistake was made on our side. If you ordered on the phone and we did not take the correct address and as a result of that, your package was not delivered, we will cover the second-time shipping expense.

Customized Items Policy

We do our best to produce customized items, sometimes, however minor discrepancies might arise from what you want and what we produce. This is perfectly valid given the nature of our business. Every single item is totally handmade and small differences in size, color, and finish are expected. There are no refunds on customized items, if you think this is something might affect you, please do not order customized items from us. All custom orders are final.

Products Warranty

All of our products are covered by a one-year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase. If any issues arise within the limited time warranty a repair or full replacement will be done by Fine Crafts & Imports without any extra cost to you. This warranty will be voided if there has been any unauthorized alteration, modifications, or repairs not performed or authorized by Fine Crafts & Imports. Be aware that most of our products are handmade and that small imperfections, glitches, color non-uniformity are to be expected. Our tile is clay made, and not as strong as the ceramic machine-made, it can be slightly bent, not perfectly flat, so it is up to the contractor to make sure the installation goes smoothly and aligned. Once you get our products you have enough time to inspect them and return them if not happy with them. We are very proud of our products quality and stand behind them.

Insurance Coverage and Broken Items

Most of our shipments are sent insured, this includes all ceramic products. In the event of a broken piece you must notify us within 7 days or receiving it. The insurance is not valid after two weeks of delivery. We are not responsible for any claims after this timeframe.

If you detect a broken item, do not return it, keep the box and packaging and notify us immediately. If you return it, additional shipping charges might happen and the carrier will have hard times finding the damaged product to inspect it. Besides that, if the broken item (e.g. a mirror) is repairable, we will refund you the cost of repair. Still a claim needs to be filed, so we expect your repair receipt as soon as posible.

In the event of a broken item, we file a claim to the carrier and re-send you the product at no cost to you, if we do not have another product like the one you ordered, then you have two options: Either you are entitled for a full refund (including S&H cost) or you can pick a different color/design/product from our catalog that matches the original price or, if higher, pay the difference, if you pick a cheaper product, we will credit you the difference.

Redirecting the shipping address

If you change your mind about what address your order will be delivered and the order left our warehouse, there will be an extra charge. The amount will depend of your zip code and cargo weight. You can make address changes free of charge before the pacakge(s) leave our warehouse. If the address change is a result of a mistake on our side, then we will cover the address change expense.

International Shipments And Insurance Coverage

All international sales are final. Because of the process implied to make an international shipment we regreat that we will not accept any returns or exchanges. However, the insurance coverage clause applies to international orders too.

If you find out that a shipment arrived broken and it was shipped by any postal service, you need to bring it to your postal office within 7 days (this depends on your country) and file a damage report. If you fail to do so, then we will be unable to replace your broken item, resending it will be your sole responsibility (you will be charged again for the product cost and S&H). If you file a claim on time for the broken item, we will be able to collect the damage insurance and resend your product at no extra cost to you.

Repair Policy

Under certain circumstances we ask our customers to repair a damaged-in-transit item (most of the time a piece of glass) because of simplicity and cost. The maximum incurred cost (and the one we will refund for this purpose) will be if the item is returned to our warehouse, repaired (or replaced, if damaged) and sent it back, and this is the guideline to refund our customers in this event. We rate the repair cost based on our cost to repair it, which is $20.00/hr and the time that take us to do so.

If our customers decide to make a local repair, which we encourage, both because of convenience and because of cost, we will refund the cost of the invoice under the following circumstances:

  • The cost is not greater than our maximum incurred cost, defined in the previous paragraph.
  • If you decide to do it locally, we will refund the least of our maximum incurred cost or the repair shop invoice price.

We will not refund our customers for the following concepts:

  • Custom work made at repair time. You might want to go fancier in the repair item, that is your choice and we will not cover that cost. In the particular case of mirror glass, the one we ship with our copper and tin mirrors, is a regular flat glass (either 1/16" or 1/8" thick).
  • Transportation costs incurred to bring the item to the repair shop. These include self-driving costs or shipping costs (gas mileage, car use, public transportation fees, etc.)

International Customs

The customer is responsible for any customs tax imposed on the imported goods, including exporting/importing. Most of our crafts are made in third countries, which may apply a tax that was not applicable to national sales. To find out those taxes and extra costs you need to contact your local customs, we are not responsible for doing so.
