This copper vase is very unique! most of the body is like a pumpkin, made from one sheet of copper, raised with the artist hammer. It has the reddish copper color gotten when cooled down from red-hot to normal in seconds using cold water. This is an ancient technique the coppersmiths use, where no sophisticated tools are used, just the furnace to heat the copper and a hammer. No special seams or artist signatures on it, but that does not mean nothing compared to the beauty the artist put on it. Made by the skilled coppersmiths from Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico.
