This is a small copper vase set of three we got from the coppersmiths in Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico. Even when the size is small, the artist did a intrincate job embossing the squared pronges out of the main copper vases body. The hammer footprint is very visible because is mostly the only tool used to get this piece of art. The trhee pieces are almost identical, except in size. The biggest measures 3.5" tall, the medium-size one measures 2.7" tall and the smallest one is 2.3" tall. The reddish/oxidated texture is characteristic of natural copper when it is cooled down from red-hot temperature using cold water, technique that the coppersmiths use. This vase was made from one sheet of copper, raised with the artist hammer, there are no one welded joints, even the three legs are pulled out of the main copper vase body. Hammering the red-hot copper is an ancient technique, where no sophisticated tools are used, just the furnace to heat the copper and a hammer to give it the shape. This is a unique gift for your loved ones or for yourself.
