This round hammered copper bathroom sink is handmade by the skilled coppersmiths of Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico. It is shaped by hand from a single sheet of 16-gauge copper (about 0.05" thick), so there are no welded joints. Following an ancient technique, the artisans heat the copper red-hot in a furnace and raise it with a hammer, leaving the hammer marks clearly visible on the surface. Raised lizards decorate the inside of the basin, giving it a playful, one-of-a-kind look. The copper is then cooled in cold water, which gives it a natural reddish, oxidized texture, and it is finished in a dark brown tone. The sink has a standard 1.5" drain opening and no overflow. Its rounded rim makes it suited for above-counter mounting. It brings warm, rustic character to any bathroom.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Toothpaste left on the surface for long periods can wear away the patina more quickly, so we recommend rinsing the sink after brushing your teeth.
