The detailed engravings of this dish are all hand-made. It features birds on some foliage, sucking nectar from the flowers. To preserve it longer, this tray has a clear patina. No more further copper polishing or maintenance required! Use a wet cotton cloth to clean it up. The hammer's imprints are visible throughout the dish. Since this tray was made from one sheet of copper, no welded joints appear. An ancient technique the coppersmiths use, is hammering the red-hot copper to give the dish its shape. Suitable for your coffee table as a nice accent piece, we recieve this tray from the skilled coppersmiths from Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico. It has a twisted interleaved string bordering it, with silver and copper intermixed in a beautiful pattern.
