This handmade Mexican Talavera clay tile is part of our lantern tile collection, finished in a washed red glaze color. Ideal for bathroom renovation, fireplaces, kitchen backsplashes and outdoor projects. Because each tile is made by hand, slight variations in color and finish are normal and part of its character. With a 1/4" grout line, nine pieces cover about 11" × 11", or roughly 13.5 square inches per tile—use this estimate to plan how many you need for your project.

All of our Talavera tiles are hand-made, as a result small imperfections are to be expected. Color variations are to be expected from batch to batch. What you see on your screen might not be exactly what you will get, this is mostly due to several factors, among others: lighting when the picture was taken, lighting in your own monitor, but mostly changes in the glazes used between batches. All these factors are beyond our control. If in doubt, we recommend you to order a sample before committing to a bigger order. This tile has limited outdoors use, we don't recommend its use on temperatures under 40 degrees. It is not frost-proof. It is not suitable for inside pools as the chemicals involved on water cleaning will destroy the clay.
