This hammered bathroom copper sink is a beautiful piece of art intended to be under-mounted or dropped-in. It has embossed twisted drops all the way around it which can be observed in the pictures.

From a copper sheet, the artisan hands transform the sheet into this unique piece. The hammer's footprints are very visible. The reddish/oxidized texture is a characteristic of natural copper when it is cooled down from a red-hot temperature using cold water, a technique that copper-smiths use. The border is rounded.

This copper sink was made from one sheet of copper and was raised with the artist's hammer. There are no one welded joints and the details pulled out of the copper sheet itself.

Hammering the red-hot copper is an ancient technique the copper-smiths use. No sophisticated tools were used, just the furnace to heat the copper and a hammer to give it its shape. We got this bathroom copper sink from the skilled copper-smiths from Santa Clara del Cobre, Mexico. The finish is in a dark brownish color. Suitable for your bathroom, it will add a unique home accent making it a very special point of attraction in your bathroom. The copper sheet is 16 gauge (0.05" thickness).
